I packed up our Winnebago Travato van on September 20 and headed out of the California smoke. I eventually landed in northern Minnesota, a place I’ve gone to for refuge all my life. The first morning I stood on the shores of Lake Superior I knew that I had made the right decision. Lake Superior and the beautiful sky above literally cradled my spirits. In an instant the pandemic, fires, politics, social unrest were lifted off my weary back. Each cloud helped me rediscover my purpose. I watched the sunrise and was reminded of this quote…
“When life feels too big to handle, go outside. Everything looks smaller when you’re standing under the sky.” LR Knost
Day after day I’ve watched the sky these last few weeks. Magical clouds reflecting in Lake Superior and the colorful trees. Each day I found myself rediscovering my purpose and sense of inner calm.
I kept my dearest friends up to date on my travels. At one point a dear friend wrote about my photos…”no wonder you have been drawn to caring for the earth all you life, this place set you on a course of being an advocate for land, water, and air.” She even commented…”I can see now why you almost always wear blue….the water and sky are your colors”.
This journey has called me to reawaken my purpose on the healing powers of nature. I’m excited to dive into to learning, sharing, and exploring the topic more.
What would repoint you towards your purpose during this time? How can you reclaim an inner calling and purpose to point you towards that which brings you greatest joy, energy, and contentment?
Which of these might just waken your purpose again.
